Video: Support limits on Corporate Housing and Oppose Sprawl

Nevada State Assembly candidate Vinny Spotleson (District 41) is committed to protecting Nevada families from corporate greed, urban sprawl, and the depletion of our precious natural resources.

In this update, Vinny lays out his key priorities for sustainable growth and fair housing:

Stopping Corporate Speculation in Housing: Corporations, hedge funds, and private equity firms have purchased nearly 500,000 homes in Nevada since the 2008 recession. Vinny refuses money from these corporate buyers and supports strict limits on corporate home ownership to ensure residential properties remain accessible and affordable for local families.

Opposing Desert Sprawl & Land Sell-Offs: Rather than solving the root causes of affordable housing, establishment politicians are pushing to sell off federal public lands for sprawling housing developments out in the desert—such as areas near Seven Magic Mountains and Jean.

Conserving Southern Nevada’s Water Supply: Unchecked expansion down into the desert would consume an estimated 50 million gallons of water every day at full buildout. Vinny argues that Nevada residents shouldn’t make sacrifices to conserve water just so out-of-state developers can maximize profits.
