Nevada State Assembly candidate Vinny Spotleson (District 41) is advocating for a major upgrade to Las Vegas’s infrastructure, calling for the development of a light rail system to improve transportation for tourists and residents alike.

Improving Tourist & Local Transit: With nearly 60 million annual visitors arriving at Reid Airport—many of whom face long wait times and expensive surge pricing for rideshares—Vinny argues that a dedicated light rail line is necessary to better serve our most important economic engine.

Connecting Key Destinations: Vinny proposes a rail line that connects major hubs, including the airport, the Las Vegas Monorail, the Strip, the new A’s baseball park, and Allegiant Stadium.

Job Creation & Economic Sustainability: Vinny emphasizes that building light rail would create thousands of union jobs. Furthermore, he suggests that this project can be funded through existing tax structures currently allocated for road maintenance and repair.
